General Policies
Age Restrictions and Proof of Identification:
Gigs - Strictly over 14′s only, under 16′s (i.e. 14 and 15 years of age) must be accompanied by a responsible adult over 16 years old.
Customers will be required to present photographc identification upon entry and extends to those customers between 14-18 years old.
Clubs - Strictly over 18′s only. Customers will be required to present photographic identification upon entry.
Due to the number of illegitimate identification cards available, the venue will only accept the following as proof of identification:
- Photographic Driving License
- Photographic Provisional Driving License
- Valid Passports
- Young Scots Cards
- PASS cards
PLEASE NOTE STUDENT CARDS ARE NOT VALID FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION
CAMERA POLICY
The unauthorised use of cameras, video or any other form of recording equipment is strictly prohibited. 35mm and small digital cameras are permitted at most events but professional cameras with a detachable zoom lens are not. At certain events, the promoter may request a ban on all photography and signs to this effect will be displayed at all entrances.
Press and photographer passes
Press and photographer passes are issued either by the event promoter or artist’s record label or management. We ask you contact them to obtain credentials for any press or photography coverage.
Show times
Please note we do not receive show times until the day of the show. Please call 0131 221 2280 and press option 1 for show times or visit our Facebook page or Twitter. Please note we cannot be held responsible if show times change from what has been advertised, therefore we ask customers to arrive as early as possible to avoid missing any of the event.
Lost Property
If you have a lost property query, please call 0131 221 2280 Monday to Saturday 12-4pm and an assistant will be able to check for you. Alternatively please email thepicturehouse_boxoffice@mamaco.com
Smoking
Please note smoking is prohibited within the building at all times. This is a zero tolerance policy and anyone caught smoking will be ejected with no refund.
Merchandise
We advise customers to only buy official merchandise located in the hall.
Food and drink
Unfortunately food and drink is not permitted in the venue and will be confiscated upon arrival.
Drinks throwing
Anyone caught throwing drinks or any other objects will be ejected with no refund and may be liable for any damage to equipment or persons.
