The concept of Mother Tucker is to introduce the masses to the ‘smoker barbecue’ style of cooking served up with great music.

This type of BBQ is hugely popular in the states but relatively unheard of in the UK and is the best method to cook many different cuts of meat and fish ‘low and slow’.

 My cooking has always been influenced by music and over the years I have found that making music and cooking are very similar in many respects. Both require passion and dedication and with the right ingredients allow us to express ourselves and share what we love doing. I just do it with a hot smoker instead of a guitar!

I have always loved The Jazz Cafe, it is a very special place with an intimacy and vibe that is unique. I feel that my “Mother Tucker” food is at home here and we complement each other perfectly, bringing the authentic smoker barbecue to the heart of Camden with some of the world’s best artists.

The music and the food can be enjoyed on their own, but together we hope to make each show unforgettable and put a smile on your face.

The Jazz Cafe’s restaurant is located on the first floor balcony overlooking the stage and contains tables seating parties of 2 to 8 people separately or larger groups can be accommodated across two or more tables.

Due to the layout of the restaurant some tables have a partial or restricted view of the stage.

Tables that directly overlook the stage are subject to a £2 additional view charge per person and these tables are only sold to their maximum occupancy.

The booth seats may be booked for smaller parties than can be sat, but you may end up sharing the booth with another couple on the night.

When booking a table customers are required to prepay the cost of the main course at £16.50 per person in advance in order to reserve a table. The cost is redeemable on the night but cannot be transferred or refunded if a member of the party is unable to make the event.
