The Great Escape is bringing to Brighton the amazing rhythmic explosion that is Africa Express Sound System! This collective combines the best and brightest artists from Africa and praised western musicians to explore new frontiers and develop new sounds. The result is a cross-cultural musical experience and a one off unmissable show.

Africa Express Sound System will be closing the Great Escape Festival on the 12th of May with a night of deep African electronic beats and a mind-altering fusion of sounds.

The ever changing group will present among them: Noisettes vocalist Shingai Shoniwa, intriguing Senegalese artist Diabel Cissoko, Reverend and the Makers frontman John McClure, South African MOBO-nominated rapper Spoek Mathambo, Gorillaz keyboardist Jesse Hackett, Ghanaian hip hop pioneer M3NSA, British singer/songwriter Terri Walker and many, many more including surprise guests!
