I Am Kloot
‘Let It All In’ (Shepherd Moon)
Recommended Track
These Days Are Mine‘Let It All In’ recalls the raw immediacy of I Am Kloot’s 2001 debut, ‘Natural History’, albeit with better production values and the odd string section and horns thrown in. It peels back some of the more orchestral layers from Mercury-nominated ‘Sky At Night’ to showcase magnificent songwriting, laconic basslines and unobtrusive drumming. The mordant, bittersweet lyrics and cocky-yet-fragile vocals of John Bramwell are welcomingly familiar, lending all ten songs here a cosy immediacy. Over far too quickly, it’s another near flawless record from the Manchester trio.
