Having up-scaled their number five-fold (from one to, er, five), Dignan Porch’s second full-length effort should, in theory, be five times bigger, bolder and more complex, or what have you. Yet, whilst there’s a definite added clout to ‘Nothing Bad…’, the Londoners’ ramshackle summer vibes are still happy to coast along on a slacker wave rather than streamlining too directly. Thank god for that, since the likes of ‘Sixteen Hits’ and ‘Darkness’ thrive on their fuzzy edges, with the added density of extra sonic bodies only upping the enrapturing haze. For 45 minutes at least, that title seems worth believing in.
