Back for a second outing in as many years, husband and wife dreamers Tennis serve another album. The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney is on production duties for ‘Young & Old’, which takes all that was good about 2011’s ‘Cape Dory’ – a musical diary of the couple’s jaunt up the Atlantic coast on boat – and amplifi es it. Lead singer Aliana Moore is now the personification of 60s girl group melodrama on ‘Petition’ whilst her other half Patrick Riley brings his guitar to the fore, electrifying the clear-mile stand-outs ‘Origins’ and ‘Dreaming’. With the wind still in their sails, Tennis have smashed another winner.
