Fránçois & The Atlas Mountains are Domino’s first-ever French signings. A smart move by the legendary label, if ‘E Volo Love’ is anything to go by; their hazy, lazy indie pop is utterly luscious. You can feel the warmth of the Saintes breeze swishing around Fránçois Marry as he croons dual-language songs of love over shimmering guitars and shuffling rhythms. The string-soaked ‘City Kiss’ and ‘Cherchant Des Pontes’ are both standouts, as is the raw and romantic ‘Buried Treasures’ and ‘Azrou Tune’’s smattering of brass and woodwind. Prepare to swoon.
