Godspeed You! Black Emperor Reform For ATP

Godspeed You! Black Emperor have announced they will reform to curate this year’s ATP Nightmare Before Christmas.

“It’s been a while, and left in the rain, the brakes have rusted and seized – we’ll have to go at it with hammers probably, with elbow grease and with fury, just like the old days all over again,” they described in a typically poetic press release. The band also announced their intentions to play a handful of UK and American shows for those who can’t quite stretch to a festival ticket.

Already announced to join GY!BE on the bill is Deerhoof, Bardo Pond and Mike Watt, with more to come.

The band went on hiatus seven years ago, which saw members dissipate into various side projects including A Silver Mt. Zion and Set Fire To Flames.

Nightmare Before Christmas takes place December 3rd-5th at Butlins Minehead. Tickets will set you back £165.
