PANIC ROOM bring their stunning, award-winning music to the London Borderline this autumn as they launch on their Official ‘S K I N’ Tour 2012. Promoting their new album – already hailed ‘a masterpiece’ by the international music press – the band will be playing every powerful track from ‘S K I N’ at this phenomenal live show.

Expect music of epic grandeur, spine-tingling beauty and gutsy raw power… All delivered with the sheer passion and sense of genuine fun which has made Panic Room one of the best-loved live bands in Britain today. This will be the first night of the UK tour, so will be filled with a killer energy!

Led by the soaring voice and magnetic stage-presence of frontwoman Anne-Marie Helder – winner of the ‘Best Female Vocalist’ Award in both 2011 and 2010 (voted for by the 50,000 readers of ‘Classic Rock Presents Prog’ magazine) – the band are also made up of 5 inspirational musicians, whose past touring CV’s include work with legends such as Simply Red, Fish, Ultravox, Toto, Keith Emerson, and Robert Palmer.

Panic Room were recently nominated for ‘Anthem of the Year’ in the first-ever Progressive Music Awards, and attended a rock-star-studded ceremony at London’s Kew Gardens, along with many TV and Radio personalities. Their fellow nominees were all big names in the rock world, and the Panics were honoured to be among the top-voted acts at these prestigious Awards.

Far from being a ‘prog’ band in any traditional sense (no self-indulgent widdling or extended 20-minute solos here!), Panic Room are in fact an alt-rock band with a strong sense of melody, drive and creativity, and it was their powerful opening track from new album ‘S K I N’ – ‘Song For Tomorrow’ – which earned them their recent nomination. You can hear this track in all its live glory this November.

Famed for their incredible live performances, Panic Room are “a scarily gifted band”, whose power and enthusiasm seem to pour off the stage in a tidal wave of energy. It is this – along with their hooky, magnificent songwriting (and infectious charisma) – which has shot them to the very top of the new British rock bands.
