Special One-Off Reunion:

The Truth were formed by frontman Dennis Greaves after R+B kings Nine Below Zero took a well-earned break in 1982. The band are a thumping Hammond-driven five-piece that blended soul and pop like no one else. The band built a fiercely loyal live following at London’s Marquee Club.  They soon signed to WEA’s Formation label, scoring Top 20 hits with their debut single ‘Confusion’ and follow-up ‘Stepping In The Right Direction’. The band went through several line-up changes, but Greaves and singer/guitarist/co-writer Mick “Chippy” Lister remained throughout the group’s run. They disbanded in 1989.

Now Dennis Greaves has re-formed The Truth, in preparation for a one-off 30th Anniversary gig at The Borderline in October 2012.  This will feature the original 1983 line-up of Dennis Greaves, Mick Lister, Brian Bethell and Chris Skornia, joined by drummer Steve Phypers. Don’t miss it – it’s going to be live, loud and dangerous!
