Soul music is back! With a new energy and style Lukas Graham has set a musical agenda that will influence the year of 2012.
Lukas is 23 years old, of Irish and Danish descent, born, raised and still living in Christiania in Copenhagen and he has a voice you don’t often hear in Denmark or elsewhere for that matter. His first single ‘Ordinary Things’ released late October 2011 became the most popular song in Denmark and titled ‘Single of the week 2011’ on national radio P3. Additionally, ‘Ordinary Things has reached gold on download. The next single ‘Drunk In The Morning’ is out February 13th and is already a big hit on YouTube.
The debut album is to be released March 26th 2012 on Copenhagen Records will show that Lukas Graham has the attitude and the guts to make a major stir in the European music scene.
Lukas has gathered a groovy band around him counting Lovestick (drums), Magnúm (bass) and Ristorp (keys/sax). Lukas and his band combine in their soulful captivating, sound, the old values and traditions of American Soul with their own energy, sound, and songwriting, forcing the audience to be a part of the performance, and to share in the music. Lukas Graham has experienced overwhelming success throughout Denmark with massive traffic on social media channels as YouTube and Facebook and need for additional concerts due to the high demand from fans.
