Roo Panes + Daytona Lights + Low Moon Low + Youth Imperial

Saturday 15th September 2012, 7:00 pm Buy Tickets

Headlining the 15th is man of the moment Roo Panes.  Despite his current public persona as Mr. Burberry, Roo Panes is rather a private man who prefers the company of his twelve-string guitar in a secluded spot by a sunlit river, to the city hotspots.  Roo Panes’ music soothes and uplifts, transporting his listeners to a less frantic world where there’s time to stand and stare…and wonder.

Often accompanied by his classically trained ensemble, the poetic artistry of his wistful arrangements bring hidden depths to the surface with evocative lyrics carried on tunes that linger long afterwards. Come prepared to feel better for the experience.

DAYTONA LIGHTS bring a modern twist to the 80′s melody. Crafting spacious grooves and lyrics that last, to produce thoughtful, intelligent, upbeat Shoe-Groove Pop. DAYTONA LIGHTS have already been picked up by BBC Introducing and received airplay and sessions on XFM, BBC6 music, & Huw Stephens on Radio 1. Resulting in the ‘Oh So English’ lads, being quickly championed by producer Steve Levine (THE CLASH, CULTURE CLUB) and his independent label, Hubris records. A band with a mixture of high expectations and a short attention span, DAYTONA LIGHTS have carved out a reputation as an intense and unique, must see live act.

“Clean, melody rich guitar parts and ‘sharp as a scepter’ bass lines add a delight of layers to the well-crafted songs.” – Clash Magazine

“Daytona Lights may be a new band but they are starting out right at the top of the indie game. They are a band you hear then want to see live. And when you do, you want to see them again and again. And then tell the world to see them.” – Chris Hawkins, BBC 6 Music

Support comes from LOW MOON LOW who formed in early 2012, and are propelled by the talents of two vocalists songwriters with their own distinct influences. LOW MOON LOW, work closely with atmosphere, texture and harmony to create a sound that sits somewhere between shoe gaze, post rock and folk.
LOW MOON LOW haven’t been around for very long, but already there appears to be a ground swell occurring, no doubt propagated by the un-doubted strength of their debut single ‘Slow Train’, recorded & produced by Paul Savage (FLAMING LIPS, FRANZ FERDINAND, MOGWAI, ARAB STRAP). In our opinion a band with great promise & one‘s to watch for 2012.

‘I want to float away with the magic carpet guitars…As soothing as it is sublime’ – Some of it was true.com
‘Moody, wistful and beautiful…Reminds us of Bombay Bicycle Club’s Jack Steadman, or Alt-J’s Joe Newman’ – Laissez Faire Club
