Rich Robinson will play The Borderline in support of his new album ‘Through A Crooked Sun‘.

His new album is inspired by the lessons and insights which make his life.  “The sun was a fitting symbol for the process of examining my life,” Rich says, “because in many ways, what was going on nourished and blinded me at the same time.”  Rich felt that his life seemed crooked, awry in terms of both his music and his relationships with others. “My relationships with the people that were supposed to be closest to me were failing,” he says.  Something had to change, Rich notes, pointing out the irony that nothing was working as it should have been, yet by many people’s standards, “My life was a dream come true.”

With his increasing spirituality and political awareness, Rich has found an emerging world view dominated by family as a source of happiness, passion and strength. He has remarried and welcomed two new sons to the family. His priorities have definitely changed. “My four children, keep me reflecting on the kind of world I want to create around myself and the kind of future these boys will experience.”

Through A Crooked Sun manifests Rich Robinson’s new musical force.  The lyrics, the rhythms, the music as a whole in this excellent album, clearly indicate that Rich is well on his way to the implied promise Socrates has made to all of us, in that a life worth living is fulfilled, gratified and, ultimately, happy.
